I called around to find a company to come look at my ac as it wasn't blowing very cold and I was having a party at my house. I called Lone Star Home and they were able to get a tech out the same day. The tech found my damper board had something blown on it (resistor I think). He said he would have to order the board, but could bypass it so I would have cold air for my party until the board came in. I told him to go ahead and do whatever he had to in order to get it working until the board got in. When he left, the house was already cooling down and my party was a success. Great tech and so appreciated him helping me in a crunch. They didn't charge me an emergency fee to come out same day either!

Based on some bad reviews, I had mixed feeling about this company when my Home Warranty decided to use this company for one of my claims. I've had AC issues on and off given my system is extremely old and have been through a fair share of different vendors. At the end of May, my downstairs and master bedroom's system stopped working at the same time - I think it was due to the storm the prior night. Lone Star was assigned. I do not know how the entire company is as a whole, but I am glad to have received the technician that came out that day (Nathan). He was friendly and knowledgeable. He got my system running again. While he was working, I asked him a lot of questions to understand my system and he did not make me feel like I was a bother. When he completed his work and left, I noticed my master bedroom's air was not cooling. The system was working, but no cool/cold air was coming out of the vents. I called Nathan regarding my concern and he came back the same day - no hassle or needing me to schedule another visit with the office. It was raining that day, so to me, that says a lot to have someone come back out and not try to reschedule you. He fixed the issue (found out the refrigerant was low in addition the the blown capacitor that he initially replaced).


Now, almost two months later, another AC issue (again, old unit). I opened a claim with Home Warranty and they assigned it to Lone Star. I was lucky to receive Nathan again. He diagnosed the issue and the end result is a new unit - compressor was out. I wasn't home at the time Nathan came to understand the full scope of things, so I had a lot of questions. I called Nathan, went to voicemail, but he quickly returned my call within a few minutes. He was kind and answered the many questions I had regarding the replacement of the unit.


I am still pending the unit replacement (HW needed to order the parts), but so far, I am happy with the service given. I wanted to leave a positive review of my experience so far and give Nathan the kudos he deserves for his demeanor and communication skills.

I have used this company about a year ago and had an amazing experience, my unit went out during this holiday time, and again so impressed they got a technician out the same day and they were able to repair my system and get my house cooling again! Over all I won't ever use another ac company!

I had an issue with an A/C in one of my rental units. The Midland Texas crew came out and promptly diagnosed and fixed the issues. They were very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. All of the crew in Midland live and work in the Permian basin. They purchase locally which insures that parts are quicker to find and help the local economy. I highly recommend them!
